Meet the Administrative Team
Dr. Rhonda M. Key, Principal, has served as a teacher and administrator in urban school districts throughout her career. Previously she held the position of improvement specialist in Jennings from 2011-2012 before moving to Decatur, Illinois where she served as principal of MacArthur High School. In 2014, Dr. Key was named one of Five Women to Make a Difference in the Decatur/Macon County area of Illinois. Prior to becoming a principal, Dr. Key has served as interim superintendent of the Riverview Gardens School District, and she is currently supporting the turn-around efforts in Kansas City School District as a mentor for principals. Dr. Key earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from Lincoln University, and she completed her doctorate from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
Dr. Miranda Ming, Assistant Principal, has served in both the education and corporate field. Dr. Ming is entering her third year in Jennings School District, where she previously served as Professional Learning Coordinator, Department Chair, and College Preparation English teacher. Prior to joining the Warrior family, Dr. Ming worked in the Maplewood Richmond Heights School District, as English teacher and in the Corporate sector as a Corporate Trainer.
Beginning her collegiate career at Alabama A & M University, but soon returning to the St. Louis area to obtain her Bachelors , Masters, and Doctorate Degree from the University of Missouri St. Louis. She joins the administrative team with experience in student achievement & engagement as she obtained an average of over 90% Proficient & Advanced College Prep students, and over 60% Proficiency for traditional students on the End of Course Exams. |
Mr. Ryan Wallace, Athletic Director, is a graduate of Fort Zumwalt South high school where he earned a 3.7 cumulative G.P.A. After high school, Mr. Wallace went to Missouri Valley College where he earned Deans list every semester, graduating Magna Cum Laude (3.7 G.P.A) earning degrees of Sociology, Criminal Justice, and Social Studies. Mr. Wallace completed his student teaching at Fort Zumwalt West High School and has been teaching and coaching football in the Jennings School District for the past ten years. Mr. Wallace also served as a graduate assistant football coach for two years at Missouri Valley College. Mr. Wallace and his wife Anna have a baby girl named Iris. Iris was born on October 7th 2010. The Wallace family enjoys taking walks, making dinners, and reading books.
Dr. Herman Harris, Alternative School Coordinator, is a graduate of Wagner High School, Clark Air Force Base, Philippines. He received a B.S. in Education from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and began teaching after a career in the United States Armed Forces. He entered education through the Troops to Teachers Program and served in a number of roles at Jennings High School for 11 years; social studies teacher, department chair, Assistant Principal and Dean of Students, prior to his appointment as the Alternative School Coordinator. Dr. Harris received his Doctorate from the University of Missouri St. Louis in 2015. He remains committed to serving the students and families in the Jennings School District.
